CaTs ????? k, have you ever heard people say "cats have nine lifes" or "cats always with land on their paws" I always wonder if these two things are true? and well my question is, is this true and why or its not true and why. (please don't answer b/c you think but b/c you know!)
How do Cats and Dogs know which is cat food and which is dog food? I have 2 cats and three dogs. One night, I ran out of cat food (the dry type) and my cats were hungry. So since I had dog food only and the shops were closed, I gave them dog kibbles. They're more or less of the same shape and size and are made of the same ingredients - chicken. My cats took a nibble and refused the rest of the bowl, preferring to go hungry than eat dog food. The next day, i got them a fresh pack of made-for-cats kibbles and they immediately dived in and ate up. How come my cats knew what I gave them wasn't cat food? I also know of dogs that won't eat cat food for the long run (not mine though, cos they're pigs and will eat anything). It would be good if a pet food manufacturer can answer this question. Is there some special ingredient you put in cat and dog food that makes cats and dogs know which kibbles is who's? Also, nowadays, dogs are eating fish too - like salmon. You can't say it's the ingredient. How come they know the difference?
Are some cats never able to tolerate a second cat in the home? I have tried twice to bring a second cat into the home. My 9 year old cat, Katy will become depressed and urinate on shoes and throw rugs every time. I end up finding a home for the second cat and after a week or so Katy returns to her old self, using litter box and wanting affection. My question is, are there some cats that will never tolerate another cat in the home?
Why do cats come to visit my two spayed female cats? I have two female cats; they are both spayed. Every once in awhile it seems like every cat in the neighborhood comes to visit them. One of our cats, Kitty, also gets in the habit of peeing on things inside the house during this time. She doesn't do anything else that makes it seem like she's in heat. Even though they're spayed, might one of them be attracting other cats? Is Kitty marking her territory? Any suggestions? I can deal with the cat visits but not the peeing.
How do I stop other cats using my cat's catflap? I have a timid female cat and recently put a cat flap in. Unfortunately other cats are now coming in. I have chased cats out and they haven't come back, but one cat in particular just will not get the hint. I once even cornered him and poured a jug of water on him but he's been back. Are there any tried and tested (humane!) ways of getting rid of the unwanted cats?
How do you introduce 1 adult cat to a home that already has 2 adult cats? I just moved into a home with my adult cat - the home already has two adult cats. The two cats and my cat are not getting along and are hissing and growling at eachother all the time. The two cats don't like my cat and my cat doesn't like them. Will they ever get along, will they learn to live with eachother? Is it safe to let them roam free while i'm out or should i separate them. Any tips or advice will be EXTREMELY appreciated.
How to bring a new cat into a house with existing cats? I have 4 cats and tonight I'm going to get another cat (not kitten) from a friend who can't keep the cat. Does anyone have good suggestions for getting the cats used to each other quickly? How can I convince my existing cats to get along with the new cat?
How do outdoor cats do when you move? One of the neighborhood cats had a kitten. We have been feeding it and playing with it and it has gotten very used to us. It is about 7 months old. We are thinking of moving and taking the cat but are afraid it will run away or not be happy. It would have to stay an outside cat where we move. Our neighbor is also moving and said they would take it (as well as about 4 other neighborhood cats) and make it an indoor cat. The mother would go too. What is better for the cat?
Introducing new cats when moving into a new home that neither pet owner has lived in before? Okay, I have a cat, and my boyfriend has one. In the future we plan on moving into an apartment together, instead of me moving into his house or him moving into mine. So we have a unique cat situation. We won't be introducing cats to a house that already has cats. So not only will we have the trauma of a new house, but throw in a new cat as well. Neither of them will have the "home field" advantage. How difficult will this be?
Can sibling cats have opposite reactions to catnip? I understand that some cats have a gene that makes them responsive to catnip, while other cats lack this gene. Since we were told that our two cats are siblings, we would expect the same reaction to catnip, yet the female loves it and the male is indifferent to it. Is it possible that related cats have different reactions, or is it more likely that they are not siblings? Curious to know what multi-cat families have experienced. Thank you!
Why does my cat get so jealous of other cats? I have two cats. My girl hates the boy and hisses at him constantly. And she is always fighting with the cat upstairs. I have heard of cats who are friendly and cuddle with each other but I have never had a cat like that. Is my cat just a b*tch? She is very friendly with me.
Do people think cats are evolving to become more dependent? This is a question I've been wondering about recently. I've noticed that a lot more people are getting more than one cat, and a lot of them say it's because their cat was lonely and needed a buddy (obviously that shouldn't be the only reason to get another cat). Personally, I have two cats and neither of them act very independent at all. I'm not sure what i think on this matter, but I was wondering what other people think. Do you think cats are evolving to become less independent?
How will my cats be if I leave for four months? I have to leave for four months for work and I have two cats. My fiancee will be taking care of them at my house while I am gone, she does not live with me, just stopping by. My brother will not take care of the cats but he will be staying at my place most of the time, when he is not there a friend of mine who will not acknowledge the cats will be there as well. My brother will not go near the cats because they both hate him, hissing scratching, etc. My friend is allergic but is okay as long as he not too close to the cats.
Did you know cats are at a serious risk for heartworm disease? Did you know that there is no safe treatment for heartworm disease in cats? Did you know giving a monthly preventative is the only way to protect your cat against this life threatening disease? Did you know that indoor cats are just as at risk if not more than outdoor cats? -As prevelant as Felv/Fiv -signs include coughing, vomiting, gagging, weight loss -Cats can be treated with prednisone but still face the risk of sudden death when a heartworm dies. -Monthly preventative heartgard, interceptor, revolution and adavantage monthly are effective against heartworm disease. This is not just another way for a vet to make money. It is a deadly disease that can be prevented.
How do you teach cats to eat out of their own food bowls? I have 1 kitten who is 3 months old and one adult cat who is 5 years old. Since both cats need different kinds of food (kitten food which has nutrients found in a mother's milk, and adult formula that has nutrients designed for older cats), I have two separate food bowls. One for the kitten and one for the older cat. The older cat steals food from the kittens bowl which is making her overweight, and the younger one is stealing food from the older cat's food bowl. I've tried mixing some kitten food in with the adult food, but that hasn't worked. I've tried putting the bowls in differnt spots in the house which also hasn't worked. What would you suggest? Thanks.
How do you introduce cats to each other? My boyfriend and I rescued a cat 2 years ago who had just previously had 7 kittens, he kept two and I kept one, so the cats are related. Recently we brougt my cat to his house to reunite them with his brothers, and he only met one and totally flipped out! It was a hissing and growling competition. I was wondering how do you go about introducing cats to each other (even though they are related) in a healthy way so that you dont loose the trust of your cats or end up with a constant cat quarral?
What should I do with my cats after flea treatment? I have fleas in my house and on my cats. I went to the vet and got the advantage drops for the cats. I have also sprayed my house, used a flea fogger, and have been vacuuming everything and cleaning the crap outta my house. Since both cats and the house have been treated should I continue to keep my cats quarantined in the bathroom or should I let them out. I'm thinking it's probably ok to let them out now since the pesticide has had time to settle. Also, I think the advantage stuff on the cats is supposed to kill any fleas that jump on. I'm thinking it's a good idea to let the cats run around so the remaining fleas that continue to hatch will jump on the cats and die. Advise?
How can I get my cats to get along with my dog? I have 8 cats (each about a year and a half to two years old), and a Puggle named Jake that turned 2 years old today. We let my cats run around the house, and we keep Jake in his own room and let him in the backyard for an hour or two every day. We want to let my Jake run around the house, so we're having a trainer come in and train him to not destroy the furniture and such. The trainer says she can train him to ignore the cats, but what about the cats? Earlier today when we were letting Jake run around free, he got too close to my cat, Trevor. Trevor hissed at Jake and lashed out with his claws, cutting Jake's ear open. We had to bring him to the vet and for the next 24 hours his ear will be bandaged. Is there a way to avoid another injury like this without having to separate the cats from the dog?
How do I discourage cats from walking on my car? Every week someone's cat walks all over the hood of my car which I just cleaned. The cat leaves their paw prints all over the hood of my expensive car. I have nothing against cats but I always have to clean my car a lot since of this. Is there some sort of scented car wash that will discourage the cat from walking on my car? I have a feeling that the cat likes to sit on my car because it's warm on the hood.
How do cats communicate with other cats? I have two cats(well actually one cat and one kitten)and sometimes when they are in the same room they look at eachother and I wonder if they are talking to eachother. Do they have some sort of non-talking cat language?
How do I improve my cats eating habits? I have two cats, a male and female (both about 2 years old). The male cat eats very well and very active while the female cat eats less and her body weight lighter than him. Is this normal ie for a male cat to be much heavier than the female cat? If not then how do I make my female cat to improve her appettite and increase her body weight?
How do I get stray cats off of my property? My one male cat has been acting out ever since a new male cat has been coming onto my property. The stray (actually he has a collar) has sprayed all over the outside of my house. My cat, in turn has been spraying and urinating everywhere in the house. He attacks the other cat. It is actually 2-3 cats. I'm at my wits end. Should I trap these cats? Or is there any type of spray to deter them. My yard is an acre!
How do cats and other animals tolerate the cold of winter? Especially cats, since they are so tiny. It is hard to believe that their fur does much when the weather is so snowy and freezing cold. My young cat will stay outside for hours at a time. Which brings me to another question, is there a way I can get my cat to be more of an indoor cat? It always wants to go outside unless it is hungry.
How to get my cats to stop fighting? My 2 cats won't stop fighting! It's gotten to the point where my one cat has a bleeding scratch on her ear from the other cat! One cat has claws and the other doesnt, so the one cat has no way to defend herself. Any ideas on how to get them to stop fighting?
How come some cats are way more affectionate than others? I heard a funny story about cats on NPR today. It said reddish/orange cats are more affectionate than others. I have two cats and the orange one is WAY more affectionate and friendly than my gray girl one, (the orange one is a boy!).... How come some cats are more affectionate than others? Are they just born like that? LIke how poeple are born w/ different personalities?
Can old cats eventually get used to a cat flap? We had to get new glass fitted in our back door. At the same time we got the man to fit a cat flap. My cats are terrified of the thing having not had to use one before. How can I get them used to it. I've tried the trick of enticing them with a treat, but that don't work. Anyone got any other ideas? Thanks everyone. You've all been very helpful.
How do older cats adpat to new kittens in the house? We have a nearly 2 year old female cat and are thinking of getting another kitten for company. I was wondering if they could pose a problem? eg. jealousy issues, territorial issues? Also do male cats have different temperaments than female cats? How do you go about introducing a kitten into a home with a cat?
Why do some cats lay down and others fall over? I've been around cats all my life and have two of my own at the moment. I've noticed some cats when they go to lay down will just fall over sideways while others will lay down gently. In my findings most of the fall over cats are always the extremly friendly ones. Has anyone else ever noticed this and how does your cat lay down?
How can I transition my cats to eating from bowls? I have two cats that are nearly a year old now. Since they were born I always let them eat whenever they wanted from an automatic refilling food bowl, and now that they're nearly fully grown I am trying to switch my cats to food from a bowl. I have two bowls, but how can I get one cat to eat his portion and another to eat hers? Of course my male cat is much larger than the female cat and I'm curious to see if this is an issue for food. Thanks for your answers!
What breed of cats is mean and unfriendly and generally hates everyone? I want to get that breed of cat for a pet. I grew-up with a two mean cats. One stalked and attacked a small child in 1978 and my mother had it put to sleep :(. (The child had some scratches and bite marks). The other cat, just attacked me, my parents and siblings at random. Such a wonderful cat.
One of my cats ran away for two days, what precautions should I take? I have two cats. One is a male, 2 1/2 years old and neutered. The other is a 1 year old female that is not spayed. The one year old got out the other day and was gone until late tonight. When she left, she was in heat. She does not have any cuts or wounds, nor does she have fleas or ticks. However, I have kept her away from our other cat for fear of transmitted diseases. I am planning on taking her to the vet tomorrow morning, but how long will it take for any tests to come back for things like FIV and FeLV? I am sure my two cats want to see each other again. Am I being too paranoid? Does anyone know how expensive it is to get a cat tested for various things? I am not worried that she is pregnant, I can deal with that.
How can I get my cat to like other cats? My cat, Rocket, is the happiest and sweetest cat that I've ever met. She purrs all the time and loves being cuddled and held, but there's one problem: while she's so loving and happy with people, she hates other cats. She will turn nearly feral towards them. Is there any way to get her used to other cats, so she can at least be in the same room as them?
Can female cats get in sync with each others going into heat? I have two cats. One seven month old, and one six month old. Last month the older cat started going into heat. This month the younger one had her first heat. Now the older one is going through heat again. Did the younger one's heat trigger the older one into heat again? I have never had unspayed female cats, so I have no idea how often they go into heat. Is this normal? Is it like when two women get their periods in sync with each other?? Thanks for the help!
How do I keep neighborhood cats from pooping on my lawn? I live in a fairly typical suburban area with many cat owners. For some reason they crap on my front lawn (the cats not the cat owners!). I thought only dogs did this, as cats like to bury their turds in soft dirt or ground cover. And yeah, they are definitely cat turds. I have a dog and know the difference.
How can I cat proof my garden fence to keep my 3 cats safe? Two of my cats have been hit by cars in tne past 8 weeks and are lucky to have survived although one will probably lose a front paw. I have a 30 foot garden which is fully fenced but the cats can climb over the top. Does anyone have any ideas how to perhaps use netting on top of the fencing to keep the cats in the garden? Any help would be much appreciated as I feel am being cruel by keeping them indoors as they are used to going outside.
If a cat develops upper respiratory infection, can it be transmitted to other cats? We have like 3 or 4 generations of wild cats outside. Two of them began to sneeze and had watery eyes. They would still eat and drink water, and seemed to be getting better when suddenly the mother cat and another sibling had the symptoms. Now just today, the uncle came around and he's got it. If this is respiratory infection, can it be passed from one cat to another?
Why do cats stretch out their hind leg when they approach me? There are several cats in our household. I've just recently noticed that several of our cats stretch one of their hind legs (primarily the left leg) out behind them when they approach a human and sometimes other cats. Is this some form of greeting? Submission? I can't find anything about this when I search online.
What brand of cat food is best for overweight cats? I have 2 cats. They are both overweight. We feed them Purina Naturals or something like that. We want the best, dry cat food designed specifically for overweight cats. They are adults, 5 and 9 years old. We feed them 1/3 of a cup twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night. We give them snacks throughout the day as well. I think we are feeding them too much. What do you think? •How much food do they need each day? •And how many times to they need to be fed that amount?
How to stop cats from going to the bathroom in certain places outside? We have two cats and we live on three acres out in the country, so they are indoor/outdoor cats. The problem is that around our house are gravel walkways and a gravel driveway and the cats have decided to use these areas to pee and poop. Every time we go outside we smell it, and it's especially strong in the area where our patio table is (so who wants to sit and eat there???). Is there any kind of safe cat deterrent that we can spray there that will actually work?
How do you get house cats to stop fighting? I have a 7 yr. old spaid female cat . About 6 months ago we got a 8 month old nutered male cat. Both cats are in and out side cats. At night they are both in. The male beats up the female all the time. He stauks her out side and jumps on her and hair goes flying. I seperate them in 2 different parts of the house when they are both home. Is there any way I can get the male cat to leave the female alone out side of getting rid of him? I really like him other wise. He is a bully ALL the time with the female. She can not walk, sit or stand with out him jumping on her and scratching and biting her. She runs from him and will not come home if he is waiting for her out side. He keeps her off our property. Any suggestions would be greatly appreacheated. Thanks in advance. I bring the male in so the female will come home. I am always bringing in a cat in the front door and going to the other door to get the other one. LOL Thanks for all your answeres
What do my cats think of my dancing? Do cats understand our body language? I know you can tell a lot about a cat's mood just by their tail and body language, but I've always wondered if it's reciprocated in the same fashion. Do cats understand or know how to interpret our body language? Besides reaching out to pet them, or playing/throwing a toy for attention. I dance around the house all the time and my cats always seem to get hyper and excited.
How much canned cat food should I feed my cats? I have two cats. One is a year old, the other seems to be two. I was wondering how much cat food they should get a day. (It is canned cat food) I understand how the weight thing should work, but until I can find a accurate scale I've gotta go by holding-the-cat-and-guessing. We had dry food, I don't know if we'll get it. Besides, I didn't ask about what wet food causes, I asked about how much they should be getting.
How do I get my cats to stop peeing everywhere? I have two cats, and I love them to death, but they pee everywhere. They didn't do it at our old apartment, and in our new apartment, the carpets have been steam cleaned twice and the previous owners did not have cats, nor did the people before them. They have been fixed, and I clean their cat box regularly. I have no idea what is wrong!! An ex-friend told me that they have these things that are like Glade plug-ins that spread pleasing pheromones (sp?) that keep the cats from peeing, but I don't know what they're called. Does anyone else? We haven't been able to set up a second litter box because there just isn't enough room here. Rubbing their noses in it doesn't help, and I am at my wits end!! I don't want to get rid of my cats, but I don't know what to do if they don't stop!! I called it "new", but we have been in this apartment--with the cats--for over a year.
What sort of territory does the average house cat have outside, and what do cats do when they roam? I have two indoor cats, and although they seem perfectly happy in my three-bedroom house, I was wondering about how it compares to the space they'd have to roam in if they were allowed outside and whether they'd be significantly more active there than inside. Does anyone have any idea how large the roaming territory of domesticated cats is, or how much they actually do roam? Does it depend on the territories of other neighborhood cats, geographical markers such as roads and creeks, the gender of the cat, or the cat's personality? And what do cats do when they're wandering around the neighborhood?
How would I introduce to adult cats into the home with my cat? My Aunt is moving and needs someone to have her cats, I already have 1 cat who we took on from a neighbour. How would I go about introducing the cats to her would she run off/get jealous or fight with them? Also how long would I have to keep her cats in before they can go outside?
How can I keep stray cats away from my house and cars? My cat has always been an outdoor one and I always kept his food dish and water outside, around my front door. I recently moved to a new part of town and I continued keeping his food outside, but now its attracted several cats. Sometimes I walk outside to find over 8 cats running around my yard. I even find cat paw marks all over my windshield. What can I do to keep these strays away, and off my car? I have two German Shepards, but I keep them in the backyard.
Is all clumping cat litter potentially harmful to cats? So, I heard cats can sometimes ingest clumping cat litter and this can cause impactions in their lungs. Is this true for all clumping cat litter or only non-natural clumping cat litter like scoop away? Like does the world's best cat litter pose this same risk to cats or not since its made of corn?
How do i get my puppy and cats to get along? I have a 9 week old puppy. And he wants to get along with the cats, and i don't want to ruin that. She plays too rough which is no fair to the cats, she bites them and runs around them in circles barking. But she bends down in the play position and is wagging her tail. The cats aren't super fond of this so they bat at her and hiss. When the cats get up to run away she chases them. I know she just wants to play but i have to yell at her in fairness to the cats. Any tips on how to make this better?
How can I help my cat adjust to the new cats? 4 months ago I adopted 2 cats from the local animal rescue and the cat that has lived here for about 4 years has still not adjusted to these 2 new cats or the 2 addtional ones I adopted 2 months ago. The first cat took refuge downstairs in my rec-room on the coach and will only leave that spot to eat and use the litter box(usually) sometimes I find pee/poop on the coach. I have tried everything from keeping them separated to keeping them in the same room. When any of the 4 new cats(2 are still kittens) go near her she just screams bloody murder. Will she ever adjust or should I consider something else?
How come my cats love my rabbits but don't like my hamsters? I have four cats and two rabbits. My cats love my rabbits! They will lick them and cuddle with them. They try to hunt/eat hamsters and mice though. So I was wondering why they like my rabbits but not rodents. Is it because their smaller? No, rabbits are not rodents. They are lagomorphs.
How do you make your cats poop smell better? I feed my cat Science Diet kitten food, and he occasionally eats the Feline Greenies treats but when he poops his litter box smells up my entire bathroom, which is fairly large. I scoop his litter every day or every other day and I just don't know how to make the smell any better. I also use Tidy Cats cat litter deoderizer. Any suggestions?
How do I keep my cats out of my plants? My cats like to use my indoor plants as a litter box. They have an easy accessible, clean litter box, but they just want to keep using the plants. My friend suggested using moth balls, but it doesn't do anything; they play the moth balls as if they were little cat toys. Another friend suggested putting rocks on the soil, but the cats still urinate in them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Could I do a project with two cats that are entirely different? I have a cat that is about twelve years old and she sleeps all the time under my blankets and won't come out of my room without freaking out. She doesn't play with any toys and doesn't respond to treats. My other cat is about seven and will run around the house and do whatever she wants. Neither cat likes the other, they constantly fight. Could I really do a project using the two different cats?
Is it safe to give a cat an all natural product made for cats with 13% Alcohol? Someone in my family bought an all natural liquid made to calm a cat's nervous system when they travel. I just looked at the ingreditnts and it has 13% Alcohol! I just felt sick about it! I want to burn the darned liquid!!! The person who bought it says it won't hurt them and would be better for them when they are traveling. I don't think its safe! Does anyone have any facts or articles about the effects of Alcohol on cats? Thank you.
A stray cat comes to my screen door and my cats start fighting each other1? My 2 cats are about 8 years old, neutered, and are brothers. I don't know if the stray is a boy or girl. The first time it came around the 3 of them fought thru the door. Now, even it it comes near the steps my cats will start fighting each other! Its really bad fighting. They rip hair out! They start hissing and staring each other down. It lasts for about 10 minutes. Why are they turning on each other?
How do i get my cats to get along? Okay, so I got a new cat about 1 year old like 4 weeks ago, and i already have 2 cats both about 2. And My cats hate the new one, if they see her they'll hide and not come out. We've been keeping her in my room. My one cat Precious, if my new cat gets near her will grow and hiss like crazy. Nothing seems to be working.
Why are cats smarter than dogs when it comes to using a kitty litter? I've had a cat in the past and it was the easiest thing ever to train it how to use a kitty litter. now that I have a dog it's the hardest thing ever to teach him not to use the house as a toilet. I know that some learn faster than others, but my question is, why do dogs have such a hard time with that and cats don't? It already seems to be preinstalled in cats.
Why do my cats let others eat their food? There are at least 2 cats coming through the cat flap and eating their food. I have three cats and none of them try to stop them, one of my cats even sleeps close to the food on a chair and does nothing.
How do i stop cats from defecating in my flowerbeds? The neighborhood that i live in has several ferrel cats and a few outside cats that are pets. I don't want to harm the animals i just don't want to find cat fecies in my flowerbeds or walk into my back yard and smell cat urine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What is the best cat litter for multiple cats? I was using Tidy Cat multiple cats, but I noticed the last batch I bought (I go through about 80 pounds of litter a month) - they changed the formula. It's more course and doesn't control odor as well. Now (since the litter changed), one of my four cats is peeing outside the litter box. Any suggestions for a finer clumping litter that controls odor better?
How can I stop cats pooing in my garden? Not my cats - I don't have any, and I don't want to harm the cats. I quite like cats, but I hate their poo in my garden, where my five children play. Thanks April - I'll see if I can find some, and give it a go.
What kinds of cats are good for small apartments? I was just wondering which breeds of cats are suitable for small apartments, without a ton of space? I'd have room for a litter box and such, obviously, but it's not like the cat could run a marathon across the floor.
What is the best tasting canned cat food for picky cats? I'm looking for a good quality canned cat food for my cats. I have tried Natural Choice and Natural Balance and my cats don't seem to care for either. Any ideas? I'm looking for something with quality ingredients and no by-products so please don't tell me Friskies or 9 Lives.
Can cats track down smells like a dog can? For instance: -Can a cat smell something and be able to remember that smell if they need to find it? -Can a cat pick up a scent in the air and be able to follow it? -Can a cat sniff out other cats if they are hiding? I know a pretty good amount about cats but I don't know about this. Lol! Some cats are lazy.
How can i get my cat to like the other cats in the house? My cat does not get along with the two other cats in my home. She will puff up her tail and hiss at them. The other two cats are bigger than my cat, maybe that makes a difference? How can I get my cat used to the other cats so that I can let my cat roam the house instead of being cooped up in one room by herself.
How do you keep cats from climbing up the Christmas Tree?? I have three cats and in the past (3 different cats) I used lemon, orange and lime rinds to repell the cats from climbing up the tree. However, those cats actually ATE the rinds. Should I try this method again OR does anyone know what to do now? I will keep the ornaments to a minimum on the tree and very few on the bottom. Before the tree is set up next month, I need an idea. Help!
When can my cats enter an area that has been sprayed for bugs? I am planning to spray my house for roaches and other pests, and I was wondering when it would be safe for my cats to re-enter rooms that have been sprayed? I would like to use the RAID brand bug killer, and I can't find one that is really safe for cats. Does anyone know of a bug killer that isn't harmful to cats?
How to help new adult cats adjust in new home? My neighbors are adopting two of my cats because we have too many. They don't live to close, so the cats probably won't come back to my house. What should I request to my neighbors to help the cats adjust? Should they keep them in a room for a few days or something like that?
How can I stop my cats from fighting or being aggressive with one another? I have 2 cats and we recently moved into an apartment with a friend, who has his own cat. The first week, the cats all got along, but now 3 weeks in, they are all very aggressive with each and one of the cats expelled urine on top of a wooden dresser (which has never been done before). Any one have suggestions or been in this situation? We are going to get a 2nd litter box, but I am worried there may be more to the problem.
