How would I know what type of hamster my hamsters dad was?

I bought a hamster and 2 weeks after I bought her she had 11 babies!!!A lot of them looked like the mother but I kept one baby and he is alot darker than her.Nearly black.They are syrian hamsters.I think they are teddy bear hamsters.Also he has big black circles around his eyes.

1. could be but maybe it was a resesive trait or a rearer trat and that is why the other looks that way still congrats on the babies
2. The Dad probably was a Syrian hamster aswell its just the hamster you kept probably has the same colour pigments as the Dad has.
3. check at the pet store, the cage you bought her from and then you can look @ some of the males and maybe guess who daddy is.
4. I don't know all that much about hamsters but I do know that my 2 white rats produced offspring of a variety of colors. I had a white male & white female and ended up with white babies, black babies, white & black and even got a "peach" color....so who's to say what is in the lineage of a rodent?
